Overview

The Applications Administrator for Linux is responsible for administering, supporting, and maintaining Linux-based application environments. This role requires hands-on experience with Linux systems and applications, along with the ability to support enterprise environments in accordance with organizational and contractual requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Administer and support Linux-based applications in an enterprise environment
  • Perform routine application maintenance, updates, and troubleshooting
  • Ensure system and application availability, stability, and reliability
  • Collaborate with technical teams to resolve application and system issues
  • Maintain documentation related to application configurations and support activities

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field, or
  • Red Hat Certified System Administrator (RHCSA) certification
  • Minimum of 5 years of current experience as a Linux Applications Administrator or in a closely related role

  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear.
  • Possess the ability to fulfill any and all office activities normally expected in an office setting, to include, but not limited to: remaining seated for periods of time to perform computer entry, participating in filing activity, lifting and carrying office supplies.
  • The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to fifteen (15) pounds.
  • May require more than 40 hours per week to perform the essential duties of the position.
  • Fine hand manipulation (keyboarding).
