Overview

Edgewater Federal Solutions is seeking a Network System Administrator professional to support a major national laboratory.

Responsibilities

Monitor, maintain, and repair physical and virtual server systems.

  • Resolve technical issues affecting hardware, operating systems, or applications.
  • Apply operating system or application patches, install or replace hardware, and implement configuration changes to improve or restore system performance.
  • Perform system capacity analysis and planning. Assist users in accessing and using business systems.
  • Develop instructions and procedures for system maintenance, create scripts to automate monitoring and repair tasks, and conduct quality assurance checks.
  • Collaborate with customers, subject matter experts, and architects to analyze, evaluate, and optimize systems. Contribute to process development and system improvement efforts.
  • Other Duties as assigned
  • Hybrid work at discretion of the Service Manager

Qualifications

  • BS in relevant discipline or in lieu of degree 6 years of related experience
  • Active DOE Q Clearance.
  • U.S. Citizenship

Desired:

• Intermediate-to-advanced support & trouble shooting skills
• Knowledge of Computer Management Solutions, IT Cyber Policies, and common enterprise environments
