Overview

Edgewater Federal Solutions, Inc. is seeking a motivated and knowledgeable Vice President of Proposals to join our Growth Enablement Team. The Vice President of Proposals leads and manages our proposal development function as a key member of our business development team. This role leverages leadership experience and deep a background in Federal proposal development to oversee all Edgewater responses to federal RFPs.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Management and oversight of critical company proposal efforts.
  • Provides guidance and oversight to Proposal Management team.
  • Develop and implement strategies for proposal development to ensure alignment with business objectives and ensuring compliant and compelling proposals.
  • Collaborate with technical experts and other stakeholders to develop proposal content.
  • Apply communication and interviewing skills to gather needed information from internal and external personnel to support writing activities.
  • Support pipeline management and monthly/quarterly reporting and analysis.

Qualifications

Education:

  • Bachelor's (or equivalent) with 10 or more of experience supporting proposal technical writing, proposal preparation, and management experience with a documented win rate.

Experience:

  • Demonstrated experience leading single and multi-award (IDIQ, BPA, self-scoring, task order) proposals across the Federal Government.
  • Understanding of the proposal development process and strong technical writing experience.
  • Determine proposal requirements and coordinate with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) and managers to draft technical content and refine technical responses.
  • Ability to review and edit proposal content for clarity, grammar, and proper use of technical or customer terminology.
  • Effective communication and interviewing skills to gather needed information from internal and external personnel in support of writing activities.
  • Familiarity with Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) and Defense Federal Acquisition Regulations Supplement (DFARS) is preferred.

Technical Requirements:

  • Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams
  • Customer relationship management (CRM) software
  • Business Intelligence tools such as Govwin, Sam.gov, USASpending.gov and FedConnect.

  • The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 15 pounds
  • May require more than 40 hours per week to perform the essential duties of the position
  • Fine hand manipulation (keyboarding).

Salary:  $195,000.00 - $220,000.00
