Overview

Egewater Federal Solutions is seeking a motivated Intenet of Things to encompass a broad range of mission business, operational, and technical staff support services, each with varied durations.

 

These services provide resources to support a wide range of mission-critical computing and engineering objectives. The requirements for these services vary in range and scope, from single-system administration and user support to highly complex, cutting-edge technologies. Specific examples of these requirements include operating system and application administration and modification, cybersecurity, scripting and code development, high-performance computing (HPC), knowledge of hardware specifications, cloud maintenance, disaster recovery support, implementation and maintenance, scripting, programming, and computational scheduling.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze information requirements and systematically evaluate workflow, organization, and planning challenges.
  • Assist Senior Computer Systems Analysts in developing appropriate corrective actions and help create plans for automated information systems from project inception to conclusion.
  • Defining problems, developing system requirements, and preparing program specifications that guide programmers in creating detailed flow charts, programs, and tests.
  • Coordinate closely with programmers to ensure the proper implementation of program and system specifications and work collaboratively with functional users to develop alternative system solutions.
  • Analyze and develop computer software that encompasses a wide range of capabilities, including engineering, business, and records management functions.
  • Analyze user interfaces, maintaining hardware and software performance, tuning workloads, and ensuring seamless integration with outside systems.
  • Assess downtimes and evaluate proposed system modifications, upgrades, and new commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) products.
  • Provide technical and administrative direction to personnel engaged in software development tasks, reviewing work products for correctness and adherence to design concepts and user standards.
  • Coordinate with the Project and/or Program Manager to ensure effective problem resolution and user satisfaction, making recommendations for major systems installations as needed.
  • Prepare milestone status reports and presentations on system concepts for colleagues, subordinates, and end-user representatives, while providing daily supervision and direction to support staff.

Qualifications

  • BS/BA in relevant discipline plus minimum 2 years or more years of directly related experience that demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and ability to perform the duties of the job.
  • Must be US Citizen
  • Active Department of Energy Q Clearance

Required Skills:

  • Knowledge and experience of Windows desktop support, including build, install, configure, patch, remediate and troubleshoot Windows machines, peripherals and other computing devices connected.
  • Knowledge and experience with both physical and virtual Windows desktops
  • Knowledge and experience with both Internet of Things (IOT) and operational technology (OT) devices.
  • Knowledge and experience with non-standard devices and technology environments (i.e. SCADA, PLCs, Siemens, Raspberry Pi, etc.).
  • Ability to provide customer support by phone, messaging, email, and in-person.
  • Ability to work with suppliers and technology vendors.
  • User application support.
  • Willingness to work on obsolete, non-standard, and standalone equipment.
  • Linux desktop knowledge.
  • Application layer knowledge.
  • Networking knowledge.
  • Cybersecurity and Zero-Trust environment knowledge.
