System Administrator II

Edgewater Federal Solutions is seeking a System Administrator II to support primarily Windows and Linux desktops and services at a major national laboratory.

System Administrator II to support for primarily Windows desktops & servers.

There will be some Linux support required, along with some classified desktop support.

• Education/Experience – BA/BS in IT Related field. In lieu of degree, 6 years of relevant experience is acceptable.
• Must be a US Citizenship
• Active U.S. Department of Energy Q security clearance 

Required Skills:

• Proficiency in Windows Desktop & Server System Administration
• Strong computer and network troubleshooting skills
• Knowledge of firewall technology and management of private LANs/networks
• Must be a US Citizen and work 100% onsite due to classified system support
• Active DOE Q Clearance minimum or DoD Top Secret with reciprocity 

Desired:

• Familiar with Linux Desktop & Server System Administration
• Familiarity with Active Directory, RSA, Splunk, Nessus, Ivanti Security Controls, and SentinelOne Anti-virus
• Experience in leading and implementing large technical solutions
• Knowledge of automation platforms (Ansible, VMware, Python)
• Proficiency in scripting languages (Bash, PowerShell) for automation and troubleshooting\
• Experience with container technologies (Kubernetes, RKE, Docker)
• Certifications, such as RHCE or CCNA
• Prior experience with Sandia infrastructure
• Excellent customer service and communication skills
