Overview

Edgewater Federal Solutions is currently seeking a Splunk Engineer to provide support to an Edgewater Federal government contract. 

Responsibilities

  • Builds and maintains advanced visualizations, customized to customer use cases, such as dashboards, reports utilizing Splunk Best Practices for scalability and usability.
  • Develops custom Splunk apps to meet customer needs in a variety of domains: IT security, IT ops, physical security,
  • Research, Scientific, Medical/Clinical Care
  • Strong skills with multiple scripting languages (Python preferred, JavaScript, Shell scripting, PowerShell); skilled in developing scripts in these languages to support Splunk deployments
  • Experience in analyzing large data sets to identify patterns, trends, and anomalies and knowledge of Regular Expressions to support parsing the data.
  • Experience in monitoring log ingestion and data feeds health.
  • Experienced with using Gitlab, CI/CD pipelines for content management
  • Experienced SPL developer creating dashboards, reports and knowledge objects
  • Prepares detailed framework design and testing documentation.
  • Delivering Use Cases into production for Operations, Technical Monitoring and Business Process.
  • Implement integrations with external systems
  • Familiarity with DevOps practices, CI/CD pipeline
  • Familiarity with content promotion pipelines (dev --> test --> prod) and change management procedures.
  • Bonus: Experience integrating Splunk content development into SDLC processes (e.g., version control, testing, staging, and deployment of apps/dashboards)

Qualifications

  • Proven experience supporting large, complex, federal Splunk deployments
  • Proven experience supporting Splunk CDM deployments
  • Proven experience advancing federal agency compliance with OMB M-21-31
  • Ability to thrive in fast-paced environments while being flexible and able to handle rapidly changing scenarios and are someone who sees 'ambiguity' as an opportunity rather than a hurdle.
  • True change agent - not intimidated by challenge of unknown and willing to challenge status quo.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills to include the ability to influence decisions with business units and technical leadership; Ability to communicate in both formal and casual situations.
  • Demonstrated ability to handle stressful situations with calm effectiveness

 

Salary : $150,000.00 - $185,000.00
