.NET Programmer

Edgewater Federal Solutions is seeking a .NET Programmer to support the IT program at a major national laboratory. Our customer’s department leverages its expertise in advanced manufacturing to support  objectives in research, development, and production of microsystem products for national security applications. As a vital part of the infrastructure, the team enhances the organization's technical capabilities, focusing on product quality, employee safety, and data driven decisions. Their approach integrates reliability validation, lean manufacturing principles, engineering safety and continuous process improvement to deliver exceptional results. Seeking an Application Programmer II that will develop solutions to support automation and data engineering in our end-to-end manufacturing environment. We need a full stack developer for applications that will develop software solutions that often perform complex calculations, in support of national security programs.

• Participate in the design of software tools and subsystems to support reuse and domain analysis.
• Assist Applications Engineer and Applications Programmer to interpret software requirements and design specifications to code and integrate and test software components.

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field + 6 years of software development experience
• In lieu of a degree, additional relevant experience may be applicable
• U.S. Citizenship is required per contract to obtain and maintain a U.S.Department of Energy Q security clearance
• Local to Albuquerque area as will be required to come onsite periodically, when DOE Q Clearance is granted to access backend to systems on classified networks
• At least 3 years of programming in .Net experience.
• Expertise in ASP.NET MVC and Web API for building scalable web applications, with proficiency in C# and Entity Framework (including Entity Framework Core) for data access and manipulation.
• Strong understanding of 3-tier architecture and familiarity with CSS frameworks like Bootstrap for responsive design.
• Experience with front-end technologies, including JavaScript, jQuery, and CSS preprocessors, as well as frameworks like Angular or React for dynamic single-page applications.
• Strong understanding of authentication and authorization mechanisms (e.g., OAuth, JWT).

Desired:

• Experience with SQL Server, including performance tuning, optimization of complex queries, and the ability to design and implement stored procedures, triggers, and views.
• Experience in gathering requirements and translating them into technical specifications.
• Strong analytical skills for troubleshooting and resolving software issues.
• Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment.
