Overview

Edgewater Federal Solutions is seeking a Technical Support Analyst to support the IT program at a major national laboratory.

Responsibilities

  • Provides day-to-day technical support services, locally or remotely, to employees for network infrastructure and internal desktop systems software and hardware.
  • Installs, configures and troubleshoots desktop, or mobile systems, workstations, and network issues in a heterogeneous environment.
  • Tests and evaluates commercial and Laboratory developed software for quality control and proper operation.
  • Maintains passwords, data integrity and file system security for the desktop environment.
  • Communicates highly technical information to both technical and non-technical personnel.
  • Recommends hardware and software solutions, including new acquisitions and upgrades.
  • Please note: This position begins in a teleworking capacity. Within the first or second year, the role will transition to an onsite Field Team position to enhance division support services and advance the selected candidate's career.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma and 1-2 years of relevant experience
  • U.S. Citizenship is required per contract to obtain and maintain a U.S. Department of Energy Q clearance
  • Able to work hybrid for 4-6 weeks for training and then 100% onsite in Los Alamos or Santa Fe thereafter.
  • Customer service experience is desired
