Overview

Edgewater Federal Solutions is actively seeking an accomplished professional to take on the role of System Administrator - Linux/Windows in Phoenix, Arizona. This long-term role requires a candidate who can work onsite 80% of the time and adeptly navigate the complexities of system administration with a focus on Windows 10/Server 2016 and Red Hat Linux 7, orchestrating the seamless integration of diverse operating environments. Proficiency in managing critical hardware components such as Dell-EMC VxRail, Dell-EMC Data Domain, and HPE Proliant Gen 10 Server is fundamental to success in this multifaceted role.

Responsibilities

  • Administer Red Hat Linux 7, Windows 10 / Server 2016, VMWare ESXi 7, and Dell Precision Tower environments.
  • Manage hardware components such as Dell-EMC VxRail, Dell-EMC Data Domain, and HPE Proliant Gen 10 Server.
  • Utilize and maintain GE PowerOn Reliance 2017 Enternet Suite for Energy Management System (EMS) Software.
  • Identify and resolve issues promptly to ensure system availability and reliability.
  • Provide technical support to end-users and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
  • Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for system configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting guides.

Qualifications

  • U.S. Citizenship is required per contract to obtain and maintain a Public Trust.
  • Minimum of 2-4 years of relevant experience in Systems Administration services and support.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
  • In lieu of a degree, additional relevant experience may be applicable. 
  • Enterprise Server Deployment experience required. 
  • Strong proficiency in Red Hat Linux 7and Windows 10/Server 2016.
  • Administer Red Hat Linux 7, Windows 10 / Server 2016, VMWare ESXi 7, and Dell Precision Tower environments.
  • Manage hardware components such as Dell-EMC VxRail, Dell-EMC Data Domain, and HPE Proliant Gen 10 Server.
  • Experience in planning, coordinating and installing, troubleshooting hardware and software systems used within a Linux/Windows environment. 
  • Utilize and maintain GE PowerOn Reliance 2017 Enternet Suite for Energy Management System (EMS) Software.
  • Identify and resolve issues promptly to ensure system availability and reliability.
  • Provide technical support to end-users and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
  • Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for system configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting guides.
  • For 6 months to 1 year the individual is required to be onsite 80-100% of the time. After they are fully trained, we anticipate that the onsite requirements may decrease, depending on the need and progress of the individual's training. 

 

NICE TO HAVE:

  • SCADA/EMS (Energy Management System) real-time power operations system experience
  • Apply expertise in SCADA system administration, ensuring the reliability and performance of critical infrastructure.
  • Familiarity with NERC CIP (Critical Infrastructure Protection) compliance requirements in a regulated industry.

Salary: $85,000.00 - $88,000.00
