- Bachelor’s degree and minimum 6 years of related management experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- In lieu of a degree, additional relevant experience may be applicable.
- U.S. Citizenship is required per contract to obtain and maintain a U.S. Department of Energy Q clearance.
- Proven knowledge of industry, regulatory, or Department of Energy/National Nuclear Security Administration (DOE/NNSA) complex codes, standards, and criteria pertinent to engineering processes.
- Proven knowledge of applicable codes and standards in common use at DOE and DOD facilities (ASME, NQA-1, IBC, IEBC, IEEE, NFPA, NEC, etc).
- Proven knowledge of common project schedule and cost tracking methodologies and programs (P6, MS Project, EVMS, etc).
- Proven understanding of design development and design review process (30%/60%/90%) and extensive prior experience facilitating design package development.
- Proven understanding of technical scope development and senior-level understating of common engineering design document deliverables.
- Position requires experience and demonstrates skill in directing multi-discipline engineering teams to resolve complex technical issues in/around nuclear facilities.
- Skilled in direction, personnel administration, and training of technical and non-technical personnel. Skilled in process improvement, process analysis, and implementation/improvement of common business operations found in engineering organizations.
- Skilled in oral and written communication, with demonstrated ability to present technical and operations information to management/client.
- Demonstrated skill in identifying, analyzing, and solving problems. Knowledge of engineering and construction management customarily acquired over time through specialized instruction or practical experience.
- Prior experience in a technical advisor / technical leadership role required.
