Edgewater Federal Solutions is currently seeking a Payroll Associate to provide support to Edgewater Federal Solutions located in Frederick, MD.

 

Entry Level with Training & Room for Growth.

Responsibilities

  • Review and approve timesheets for accuracy, DCAA compliance, and proper recording of time and ensure that all timesheets are completed by given deadlines.
  • Responsible for adding timesheet codes as requested.
  • Responsible for generating reconciliation reports and performing timesheet reconciliations.
  • Perform timesheet audits on a semi-monthly and weekly basis.
  • Reviews payroll registers for accurate benefit deductions, tax deductions and any other relevant information.
  • Assists with the entry and review of payroll information into Paylocity such as bonuses and employee pay changes.
  • Assist employees with any timesheet related questions or corrections.
  • Assist employees with payroll questions using the Payroll Service Desk platform.
  • Performs monthly floor checks on timesheets to ensure employees are aware of timekeeping policy and are DCAA compliant.
  • Reviews monthly that approval groups are setup accurately and employees have been added to the correct project/task.
  • Reviews all employees have the proper number of hours recorded in the month or have a proper explanation for variances.
  • Will serve as the backup for payroll processing.
  • Processes Unanet profile set-ups and changes as needed.
  • Processes Unanet project/task set-ups and updates.
  • Review new hire setups in Paylocity and assign the appropriate timesheet training.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

 

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Office Suite products such as Word, Excel and PowerPoint

Preferred, but not required:

  • Bachelor's degree
  • Payroll experience
  • Experience with Unanet
  • Experience with Paylocity
  • Experience with US Government Contracting Industry
  • Experience with SCA employees
  • Knowledgeable in DCAA compliance and regulations
