The Office protects vital national security information and technologies, representing intellectual property of incalculable value. Edgewater Federal Solutions has an exciting opportunity to join an onsite Washington DC cyber team to support an IT program with the DOE-IN as an ISSO where you will use your experience to work with the government to discover their cyber risks, understand policies, and develop a mitigation plan. An active Top Secret Clearance and/or Q Level clearance is required for this 100% onsite role. 

Responsibilities

  • Work with the client to translate security concepts into operational deliverables and policies, so they can make the best decisions to secure their new systems, and providing enhanced functionality on existing systems, while ensuring the requirements are effectively integrated into information systems throughout the System Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
  • Review technical, environmental, and personnel details from SMEs to assess the entire threat landscape and provide policy and process guidance.
  • Guide the client through a plan of action with detailed documentation including presentations, whitepapers, project plans and milestones.
  • Serve as an information security subject matter expert with interaction across multiple teams, divisions, and departments.

 

Qualifications

  • Must have an Active Top Secret and/or Q Level clearance
  • BA/BS and 8+ years of experience with information assurance or cybersecurity
  • U.S. Citizenship is required
  • Minimum IAT Level II Certification such as Security+, CND, SSCP, GSEC, GICSP, CYSA+, CCNA-Security. Additional consideration given for IAT Level III Certification such as CASP+, CCNP Security, CISA, CISSP or CISSP Associate, GCED, GCIH, CCSP.
  • Experience with Risk Management Framework (RMF) documentation, tracking, reporting.
  • Experience with supporting system security and authorization processes
  • Experience with NIST 800-37, NIST 800-53, or Intelligence Community Directive 503 requirements
  • Experience with ACAS and vulnerability databases including Tenable Nessus, NVD and NIAP
  • Experience reporting IT security events or incidents based on policies and procedures
  • Ability to provide on-site, full-time support in a client environment
  • Must be able to operate independently and complete tasks with minimal supervision.

 

The salary range for this role is $130,000-$140,000.
