Edgewater Federal Solutions is currently seeking a Security Configuration Manager to provide support to Edgewater Federal government contracts.

Responsibilities

  • Responsibilities

    • Ensure Security Configuration Management best practices are implemented and followed.
    • Establish Baseline Configurations, Manage configurations and Track/record configuration changes.
    • Perform enterprise-wide configuration, deployment, management of security tools such as DLP, Veritas Data Insight, DbProtect, and Cisco IronPort DLP Module, DLP Box, Microsoft Azure Security Module, DLP Palo Alto, and Data protection for Office 365
    • Conduct risk assessments (NIST Framework) for high-value assets and major infrastructure investments processing hosting sensitive personally identifiable information (PII), patient data, and financial records.
    • Identify legal, regulatory, organizational requirements to manage the risk of noncompliance to acceptable levels.
    • Evaluate information security controls to determine whether they are appropriate and mitigate risk to an acceptable level.
    • Develop security guidance, policies, and procedures

     

Qualifications

  • Qualifications

    • Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) or Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree.  Additional years of experience may be considered in lieu of education
    • Information Security-related certification (such as Security+, CEH, CISSP,)
    • Experience in Configuration Management tools, processes, and lifecycle.
    • Sound cyber security knowledge foundation, to include understanding of Computer and network technology fundamentals
    • Applied knowledge of Federal Information Security requirements and standards including NIST, MITRE, FISMA, and DHS.
    • Knowledge of IT environments, information security, and privacy
    • Ability to take direction and achieve quality results, independently strive for personal excellence when completing tasks
    • Align with and support the execution of the Information Security Program vision and strategy
    • Demonstrated expertise with multiple Windows, Mac OS, Unix-based operating systems
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders at all levels
    • Thorough understanding of protocols, network topologies, and perimeter security devices (proxies, IPS, IDS, Firewall, and packet analyzers), and network security design
    • Experience in a rapid paced, time-sensitive, highly collaborative environment
    • Strong problem-solving capabilities and the ability to effectively communicate solutions
    • Proficient in MS Office 365 suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel)
    • Ability to obtain a Public Trust clearance
    • Experience with SIEM tools (Splunk, ArcSight, etc.)
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

     

  • Desired Elements

    • Experience with government contracting firms supporting the Federal government
    • Master of Arts (B.A.) or Master of Science (B.S.) degree
    • Experience in collaborative proposal writing efforts
    • Scripting experience (Bash, Python, Perl)
    • Multiple Configuration Management tools.
    • Comprehensive knowledge of database security best practices and ability to make recommendations to improve existing processes (DBA experience preferred)
